Afghan-led development, grounded in community needs

The Afghanistan Rehabilitation Advance Committee Organization (ARAC-O) is a local, non-governmental, non-profit, and development organization established in Afghanistan in 1403 AH / 2024. It is officially registered with the Ministry of Economy under license/registration number 6027.

ARAC-O was established to contribute to Afghanistan’s social, economic, educational, health, agricultural, and humanitarian development. As a local organization, it works closely with communities and other stakeholders to identify essential needs, facilitate access to basic services for vulnerable individuals and families, and develop effective and sustainable programs across Afghanistan.

ARAC-O intends to gradually expand its activities throughout Afghanistan. Its programs are designed and implemented according to the genuine needs of communities, the applicable laws, policies, and regulations of the country, recognized professional standards, and available resources.

The organization strives to design its programs around communities’ actual needs and to uphold professional principles and accepted standards throughout program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and reporting.

ARAC-O plans to develop its activities across several key sectors, including social and humanitarian services, health and nutrition, agriculture and livelihoods, education, and vocational training.
